VCC Ayurveda ( A Division of VCC Ayurveda & Yoga Institute Pvt. Ltd) is an ISO 9001-2000 and Gold Leaf certified Clinic. Its roots are formed from the famous 'Vazhimangalathu' family of Ayurveda Vaidyas (Physicians) in Central Kerala. Dr. A C Thomas, M.D, VCC Ayurveda & Yoga Institute (P) Ltd. & Chairman of Help In Action Society (Regd.) himself is a multi disabled person. Despite of loosing his legs, he runs an NGO for disabled. He barely walks. Yet has come long way since an accident immoblised his leg. Now he gives disabled financial and moral support to bring their life on the track.

Born as a normal baby in 1964, Thomas was afflicted with polio when he was two year old. The disease crippled his left leg. Clutch became his second leg. Yet Thomas took his life in his stride. After his education, he started his carrier and life was smooth: he was climbing ladder of his carrier, got married and was blessed with two daughters. Then came another blow; in January 8, 1996, Thomas met with the near fatal accident. A truck ran over and crushed his right leg and he spent miserably more than a year on bed with pain and mental agony two months in hospital and several operations later, the doctors were able to save his life and amputation but leg became totally numb.

Thomas has never lost hope. He started his Clinic and pathology business in association with World-renowned Dr. Lal Pathlabs (P) Ltd. He found his feet in the life after long struggle and started an NGO for supporting as many as disabled like him.
